Indigo Touch is our collection of control apps for monitoring and controlling your house. iOS/iPadOS (iPhone and iPad) and web-based clients are available. The clients will communicate with Z-Wave, INSTEON compatible hardware, and device (or other information) supplied by any of our 3rd party plugins.
Indigo Touch provides a broad set of features across the various clients, most of which are provided free. Compare that to many of our competitors who charge for the most basic functionality. We also offer an Indigo Reflector which offers a easy to configure option to remotely access Indigo away from the home. Reflectors are a feature of the Indigo Up-to-Date subscription.
Indigo Touch for iOS/iPadOS also provides some features that are only appropriate for a mobile device app.
iOS apps can register URL schemes so that a URL can launch a specific app. Indigo Touch registers the
indigo: handler (as well as the aliases indigodomo: and
indigocontrol:) when installed on an iOS device, so that when the URL is opened (for
instance, in Safari) it goes directly to a specific control page when Indigo Touch launches.
The supported URLs are:
| URL | Result |
|---|---|
indigodomo://controlpage/_internal_control_pages_ |
Shows the Control Pages list. |
indigodomo://controlpage/master%20bedroom |
Shows the control page named “master bedroom” (spaces are substituted with
%20 as in any URL). Any of your custom control pages may be specified. |
hideNavBar — hides the navigation bar and status bar on the page being shown. Add it to the end of the URL:
indigodomo://controlpage/master%20bedroom?hideNavBar=1
The default is hideNavBar=0 (don’t hide the nav bar). Only hide the navigation and
status bar if you have manually added controls/buttons to your control page for navigation.
viewUntilQuit — by default, Control Pages are shown temporarily, and switching
away from Indigo Touch and back restores it to its previous state before the control page URL request was
made. Use viewUntilQuit to override this behavior and not restore the previous view state:
indigodomo://controlpage/master%20bedroom?viewUntilQuit=1
The default is viewUntilQuit=0 (restores Indigo Touch’s state when switched out and
back).
Both options can be combined:
indigodomo://controlpage/master%20bedroom?hideNavBar=1&viewUntilQuit=1
Assuming you have Indigo running on your Mac (trial or purchased) and have your iPhone/iPad at home on the same WiFi network, then by tapping the gear icon you can automatically connect to it. If it isn't visible, then check your Indigo server settings:
